Love Story - a special wedding anniversary

So it’s your parents’ or grandparents’ special wedding anniversary coming up soon and you haven’t a clue what to give them.

They don‘t want “things” because they’ve got everything they want and they’ve had the special dates’ newspaper pages and the scrolls and yet you and the other members of your family want to give them something that says “We love you”. Everything you’ve thought of so far is just spending money for the sake of it on something that will end up, carefully wrapped in tissue paper, in a drawer somewhere.

Don’t be stumped. What about a “Your Story Biography”? Although it’s difficult to see parents and grandparents as “people” they are. They met and fell in love. If they lived through WW2, the Suez Crisis, the Falklands War or any other conflict, they’ve faced the anguish of separation, the fear of losing the one they love and the uncertainty of what tomorrow might bring and that kind of experience will have coloured their lives.

Through carefully crafted interviews with family and friends I will write story of their lives. It will be a sensitive, affectionate account of the lives of two of the most important members of your family. You think you know all about them – but you don’t: you only know them as mum and dad. You don’t know about the struggles they might have had, the disappointments and the successes they’ve had.

Allow their story to be told and then sit back and be enlightened. You’ll never think of them as “oldies” again!
