Life Story - new baby

Baby coming? Isn’t it exciting? Ever so many preparations have been made for his or her arrival: nursery, pram, cot, clothes, toys – one young dad I know even bought a train set! Good job the baby was a boy!

No doubt you’ve thought about a baby book to record the baby’s first few weeks of life but really, if you want to give the new arrival an heirloom, you need a “Your Story Biography”. Why? Because it’s so, so much more than a book of facts – it’s a who’s who of their loved ones.

Everyone is “there for” the infant’s birth. Nowadays, however, when families no longer live close by and it’s difficult to keep in touch, children sometimes don’t really get to know the important people in their lives… and they want to and need to. What a wonderful gift it would be, therefore, to introduce baby to everyone in a “Your Story Biography”! In words and photographs, it would be all about mummy and daddy, grannies and grand-daddies and maybe even great grannies and grand-daddies. Lots of photographs of the family and the baby when he or she arrived, too – in the delivery room with proud parents, at the christening or naming party!

Of course any brothers and sisters would be in the book and it would be a chance to record the things they said when they heard about the new baby. These little stories are treasures and should be treated as such!

 When you’re too busy or tired to answer for the hundredth time, “What was granny like?” this wonderful book will tell all about her – and we all know how much children treasure favourite books. And, of course, it can be added to all the little darling’s life so that all those important rites of passage –first words, first day at school, etc. all the way to leaving school and beginning on the road of adult life – can continue to be captured. This first book could be Volume 1 with the rest to come.
