Life Story - special birthday

Some birthdays are special – 18th, 21st, the big zeros: 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 – and counting! You want to give the birthday boy or girl something they’ll keep forever, don’t you? But what??

Why not the story of their lives? It isn’t only famous rock stars and film and TV stars who live interesting lives you know. How often have you been listening to someone telling a hilarious or moving story and said, “You should write that down” but it never happens, does it? I can do it. How often have you watched programmes like “Who Do You Think You Are?” and wished that you could find out more about your family and friends?

I can write their story, so far, whether it’s 18 or 80 and this might only be volume 1! Volumes 2 or 3 can continue their life story.

A “Your Story Biography” will collect together the baby and school photos, him in the football team, her in her guide uniform, snaps of mum, dad, grandparents (yes, even if the photographs are over 100 years old!), recount all the old stories which although everyone may have heard them – and love hearing them – will be lost if they’re not captured.

It will be a treasure chest of laughter and tears, of hopes and fears, of successes and “almosts” – all the things which go to make up a life.

And this biography can be an ongoing project. I can arrange for life’s important celebrations from now on to be added to this first biography so it will, truly be Happy 50th – and counting, Mum! Happy 21st/18th. Now let’s walk through the rest of your life together.
